Special Invitation
The program of the 21st Triennial Congress of the International Ergonomics Association, IEA2021, is evolving to provide truly exciting learning and networking opportunities for the Human Factors and Ergonomics (HF/E) community around the world. IEA2021, to be held in Vancouver, June 13-18, 2021, will have dedicated practitioner streams to promote the sharing of best practice and networking among professionals, as well as fostering communication between researchers and those applying research in real settings. We invite you to participate and consider submitting your work for presentation.
Who should submit a proposal and why?
Who: Ergonomists and Human Factors Professionals who apply HF/E principles and methodologies to real-world settings, such as process industries, manufacturing, logistics, maritime, HMI, health care, architecture/interior design, heavy industries or forestry. Why: Why: Why: Share insights from real-world HF/E projects and bridging the gap between practitioners and researchers/academia.
Publication possibilities
Submissions of as little as a 2-page extended abstract, are acceptable without the requirement for a full proceedings paper. Applied cases will be evaluated using criteria tailored to applied contributions. There will be 3 options: extended abstract only (published on the congress app), a 4 to 8-page full paper in the proceedings, or a full article to be reviewed and publish in a special issue of the IISE Transactions on Occupational Ergonomics and Human Factors. Special guidance and feedback by the Practitioners Track Review team will be provided to assist you in developing your abstract, full paper, or article.

- Call for oral/poster presentations: June 26, 2020 – Sept 25, 2020
- Feedback to presentation authors: Dec 4, 2020
- Final papers or extended abstracts due by all authors: Feb 5, 2021
